Mini McGhee was launched in winter 2009 by Nicola McGhee, an ex-Gap (New York) designer. As a Glasgow School of Art graduate, Nicola returned to her Scottish textile roots and created a collection that offers contemporary luxury products made with genuine values of timelessness and sincerity. The high quality craftsmanship appeals to customers who cherish authentic handcrafted goods and demand sustainable, individual products. Nicola is inspired by traditional knit, crochet and embroidery pieces, reusing and reinventing these traditional handcraft skills to made distinctly modern designs. Mini McGhee products utilises recycled vintage fabrics and as 'Made in Scotland' is important to Nicola, she only uses UK spun yarn and local sources for all other fabrics and materials. And like Granny intended, Nicola encourages the products to be handed down... This graphic stripe baby blanket is knitted in 100% soft Lambswool by a local manufacturer using UK spun yarn.
