Husband and wife team Philippe (french) and Charlotte Gueniau (danish) started homeware design company Rice back in 1998, in partnership with their Thailand based school friend Hans. Today, it is a smooth operation with the design work is done in Denmark, and the manufacturing in Thailand. Concious of their social responsibilities, all RICE products meet the international SA8000 standard for social and responsible corporate governance (no children's work and discrimination, adequate minimum wages, healthiness and safety at work etc.).

We love these bright melamine cups. Melamine is a very durable plastic that enables products to have a very bright and vivid colour that doesn't fade easily.

Available in a range of colourful choices, these cups are the perfect choice for little hands that can take a knock or two. Extremely versatile for home use for a range of areas such as kitchen, bathroom or simply on your desk to store pens, these are also ideal for picnics or when camping. We recently also used these as an alternative party "bag" (cup in our case) filled with treats and toys and wrapped in cellofane and finished with a ribbon.
