Donna Wilson is one of Scotland's most notable young textile designers. Donna Wilson makes knitted creatures that are inspired by the everyday oddities and deformities of life. She likes to think of each of them as a character in her very own wonderland, where scale and perception are toyed with.

“The tactile quality of my work comes from my childhood spent in the Scottish countryside. It has had a strong influence on me both in my need for textural and organic forms. I enjoy using handcrafted techniques like felting, knitting and wrapping. My involvement with wool felt allows me to create a closeness and cosiness that I want people to connect with.”

As well as producing her infamous knitted creatures that can be used as cuddly toys or as home accessories, Donna has developed her own range of decorative home accessories in addition to bespoke products for the likes of SCP.

Donna Wilson's studio prides itself on keeping the production of all products to hand made and UK based, allowing the end product to be unique and have its very own character.
